READ ABOUT A BABY MERMAID ON MY BLOG at mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including the Near East, Europe, Africa and Asia. The first stories appeared in ancient Assyria, in which the goddess Atargatis transformed herself into a mermaid out of shame for accidentally killing her human lover. Mermaids are sometimes associated with perilous events such as floods, storms, shipwrecks and drownings. In other folk traditions (or sometimes within the same tradition), they can be benevolent or beneficent, bestowing boons or falling in love with humans.Mermaids are associated with the mythological Greek sirens as well as with sirenia, a biological order comprising dugongs and manatees. Some of the historical sightings by sailors may have been misunderstood encounters with these aquatic mammals. Christopher Columbus reported seeing mermaids while exploring the Caribbean, and sightings have been reported in the 20th and 21st centuries in Canada, Israel and Zimbabwe. The U.S. National Ocean Service stated in 2012 that no evidence of mermaids has ever been found.Mermaids have been a popular subject of art and literature in recent centuries, such as in Hans Christian Andersen's well-known fairy tale "The Little Mermaid" (1836). They have subsequently been depicted in operas,For collaborations and business inquiries, please contact via Channel Pages: http:ChannelPages.combillschannel

Mermaid Melissa's Youtube Channel Link - Watch what happened when I went swimming with Mermaid Melissa guys, Bill here… when it comes to mermaid sighting videos there is certainly no shortage of those in my inbox. But the one that caught my eye recently is this one. ( Use this script to translate. Copy here and paste here ) It’s called "Real Mermaid Rescue” and it was sent in by Fernando Ramirez, Katie Lavery, Paula Gilchrist, and Squishy ash just to name a few. The video shows what looks like real news footage of a mermaid being tended to by medical personnel. Now come on guys. I think it’s pretty far fetched to think this is a real mermaid. Don’t you? But hey, the rules here at the Bureau of Real or Fake require I get to the bottom of the story before I can announce an official decision. So why don’t we do that. Looking through the video it’s pretty clear to me that the footage is not computer generated. It shows real people putting what looks like a real live mermaid in a sling and then carrying her off to a canal of some kind where they let her go back into the water. Once in the water, she kind of hangs around and says hi to some kayakers… On a hunch, I decided to check out the person who posted this video. As luck would have it, it comes from a youtube channel called Melissa Mermaid. So I got in touch. BILL AND MELISSA INTERVIEW BILL: Hey Melissa, this is bill from bills channel. How are you today?Melissa: Hi I'm great. How are you? BILL: So Melissa, I have this video that was sent in called "Real Mermaid Rescue and Release TV Footage." Is that one of your videos?Melisssa: Yes the video is real and the mermaid, well… that’s a real mermaid model in it. I know because it’s me.BILL: So you are a mermaid model... You know I suspected that was you… so explain to me what’s going on here.Melissa: - - I was at a Manatee Festival where we try to raise awareness about Manatees. The great people from Florida Fish and Wildlife had this idea to carry me to the water just like they carry the manatees. BILL: Oh ok. I get it. well that certainly clears that up and it’s great you’re doing things to help the manatees. What else are you up to these days? MELISSA: Did you see my video where I swim with manta rays? I was in Australia and it just sort of popped up. it was an amazing experience. BILL: That is just awesome. I always wanted to do something like that. MELISSA - Well why don’t you come over and we can go swimming together some time. BILL: Go swimming together? MELISSA: Yeah, I have a merman outfit that would fit you pretty good. BILL: Well I don’t know, I mean, I don’t think… I don't know if I can hold my breath that long. MELISSA: What’s the matter, you know how to swim don’t you? BILL: Yeah sure I do… but its not that. It’s just… you know. I got to think about it. MELISSA: Ok well just call me on my shell phone. BILL: I will. I will. Ok, well that’s about the all time I have for this video. I guess we can officially state the video was real, but that wasn’t a real mermaid in the sense that Squishy Ash and the others were asking about so I am going to call that part of it a fake. I want to thank you guys for sending in the video and also a special thanks to mermaid Melissa for clearing that up for us. If you want to see more of her videos, I’m adding a link to her youtube channel in the description box.And that my friends brings me to the question of the day. Do you think I should go swimming with Mermaid Melissa? Let me know what you think in the comment section below. See you next time.

Hey guys Bill here - You guys have been pounding me with strange and whacky looking creatures lately. So I thought what I would do is combine a few of my favorites that I have received and go over them with you. NUMBER 1 Sent in by Kingburrito - A picture of something I thought would be fake, but turned out to be real. It was a picture of a 'spectacled bear' from South America that has mysteriously lost all it’s hair. Her name is Dolores and she part of a bear exhibit at Lepzig Zoo in Germany. For unknown reasons, Dorthy and all the other female bears lost their hair at the zoo a few years ago. I don’t know if it has grown back yet, but if you live in germany maybe you can go check for us. NUMBER 2 Submitted by Jerryman69 - A very weird creature indeed and it turned out to be real! It’s called an Aye Aye or Madagascan Dyschirius - It’s the world’s largest nocturnal primate and was fist discovered by Pierre Sonnerat on the shores of Madagascar. It’s considered to be a Leemur and is not dangerous at all. NUMBER 3Sent in by Offical YenshenThis is a really interesting creature, but it is a fake. It’s an art piece created by Patricia Piccinini’s called “The Young Family.” It’s meant to be a protest against the practice of Implanting human genes into animals to create new medicines. Some people think this is dangerous and want it to be more regulated, before we end up with something like this - the famous “Vacanti” mouse that appears to growing a human ear. NUMBER 4 Submitted by William Barker William - Believe it or not, this is a real creature… It is a real piglet born in China to a farmer named Feng. His wife told reporters that it was one of five newborns of a family sow. Why it was born with two thin lips, and small nose and two big eyes nobody knows. It’s rear legs are also much longer than its forelegs, causing it to hop rather than walk. Feng biggest criticism is that he won’t be able to sell it and make some money because people… NUMBER 5 Our last entry today comes from Manic Bob, who sent in this suspicious picture of a translucent sea creature. Mr. Bob, it turns out this is real. A number of reliable news sources report that New Zealander Stewart Fraser found this little number floating on the surface 40 miles out at sea. Mr. Fraser said it felt scaly and firm, but other than an orange blob on the inside it was completely translucent. Fraser had no idea what it was but a number of experts said this thing could be a salpa Maggiore fish - well that explains everything doesn’t it. Ok. well that it is it for this edition of Animals you don’t want to sleep with. If you have any weird animal pictures you come across send them to me at [email protected] See you next time.

Many of my billschannel tipsters have been sending me links to various stories about a dead mermaid being found. Now depending on the report, the corpse has been found in Mexico, Belgium, and even Pakastan… But what I want to know is, is this mermaid real or fake? I took a closer look at the actual pictures of this thing. They show what look like a young and beautiful mermaid… Her face looks like she might be a model - High cheek bones, big angelina jolie lips, and a nose so thin, her merman might have been a plastic surgeon. But, unless she just passed away, it would make no sense for her face to be in this condition. A corpse that floats in the ocean for awhile becomes very bloated. And according to the scientific American website, the body will blister and turn greenish black in a short amount of time. But In this wide view, we are treated to skin that looks like she just came out of a spa. And another oddity is that her breasts have no nipples. I mean, I assume Mermaids have babies… and if they do, they must breast feed in someway…But how this happen when there is no nipple? The other photos show the lower portion of the body but there’s nothing unusual here except for the fact that there is absolutely no sign of decay on her hand. And those fingers look incredibly slender and cinderella-ish. Maybe a little too refined if you ask me. So what are we too think of this? Is this a real mermaid or is this some kind of hoax. Well, for me, it all smells kind of fishy, so I stopped by snopes dot com to see if they had anything on it. Sure enough there it was…. And according to snopes, anyone who had seen the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean - On stranger tides” should be familiar with pictures, because the mermaid we see in these pictures is the same one that was used in the movie. Snopes also claims the prop was created by movie special effects king Joel HarlowMermaid videos and Mermaid pictures are all over the internet. They are all relateed to a "mermaid found" story. Some even call them mermaids caught on tape. The interest in mermaids really took off when Animal Planet released their documentary "Mermaids: The Body Found."

Hey guys, bill here. you guys have been sending me a whole bunch of these crazy giant animal pictures lately, … so today what I’m going to do is drill down on my favorite 6 and let you know if they are real or not. Number 1 Is this giant moose sent in by Thor Krueger who just simply said “Bill is it actually real?!! Well Thor, I know this photo doesn’t look real… but it is! This picture was taken by a 4 wheeler in New Brunswick Canada. Now, according to wikipedia, Moose often grow to over 7 feet tall.. but this guy looks about 9 feet so what’s going on here? The answer is this road we see. It’s actually just a small path and that makes the moose look bigger than it really is. Here’s a second picture of the monster moose taken by the same 4 wheeler - also very real. BANG Number 2 is this huge spider photo. It was sent in by Jesper Furensjö who wants to know if it real or fake. Ok, Jesper, now there’s been a lot of people have been posting this as a giant Hawaiin Cane spider… but actually, it’s nothing more than a big fat fake. Artist Paul Santa Maria has confessed to creating this in photoshop. He often shows this picture of a wolf spider that he used to create his hoax. Exactly why he did this, is unknown. Maybe just too much time on his hands. BANG And speaking of giants, this huge monster of a fish was sent it by Anita Bai who said a friend found this picture online and wants to know if there is anyway it could be real… Actually, Anita, it is real. The picture was taken in Puponga, New Zealand of a washed up Ocean Sunfish. Sunfish are the heaviest known boney fish in the world. Adults can weight up to 1,000 kg or about 2,205 lbs. They exist in tropical and temperate waters around the world - but for some reason - lots of them seem to wash up on beaches in New Zealand. Here’s one of the earliest pictures I found of the Phenomenon. This picture was taken way back in 1910 in… where else. New Zealand. 4 Is this the biggest police dog in the world? That’s what Sapaman asked when he submitted this picture. Now, sapaman I don’t know how to break this to you easily so I’m just going to tell you the cold hard truth… It’s fake. The dog in the picture is a great dane and great danes are big, but they don’t grow as big as horses. This photo was actually part of a fake photo contest at a website called Worth 1000. The theme of the contest was “Out of porportion animals!” And Oh look, they even have a english countryside edition of this giant dog. how sweet. Number 5 is this unidentified creature sent in by Billy Hienderson and Cody Morton. Billy asked if I could help him figure out what this is. well Billy, thanks to my friends at Epicwildlife, I was able to figure it out pretty fast! It’s Fake. Here is the original picture showing fishermen pulling in a net that was then converted into guys on the beach wrestling a huge monster. The manipulation was created by Alan friswell, who said he created the picture to go with a blog post he was writing about sea serpants. Alan said he never intended it to look real. And now for our final picture today, we have this huge Rabbit… It was sent in by Abbie Bischof and Robbie White… Now Abbie - Robbie… I know this looks fake but this huge rabbit is actually real. It’s a German Gray Rabbit and weighs in at 10.5 kilograms or about 23 Lbs...German Breeder Karl Szmolinsky won a prize for breeding this hopping beast. He is even the subject of a numerous video news reports. Believe it or not, his giant rabbits caught the eye of North Korean officials who wanted to start raising giant rabbits in North Korea. Karl sold them some rabbits to start their breeding program, but later declared North Korean officials had eaten them. Ok, well that’s about it for this edition of animals you don’t want to sit on you… and remember if you have a picture or a video you’re not quite sure whether it is real or not. Send over to me at [email protected] and I will take a look. See you next time.

A guy in Brazil sent me a video. He claims it shows two teenage girls when they were pulled under under water and killed by an Anaconda snake. Eunectes murinus is the scientic name for Anaconda. It was recorded on a cell phone, and looks pretty authentic, but is this for real or is it fake? that's what I want to know. I looked to my normal sources at Snopes, but nothing about this snake incident was recorded there. So I turned my attention south - to Brazil - where I found many reports of teen girls getting killed by a snake. The girls were real enough. They were two teenagers from southern Brazil. They went with friends to go swimming in a local river. Everyone was having a good time, until one of the girls screamed. Then the other girl screamed and seconds later they were both gone! The police eventually found the girl's bodies. An autopsy was performed and the cause of death for both girls was recorded as accidental drowning. Looking carefully through the video I spotted a number of clues that tells me something was really in that water. Just before the girls disappeared, some of their friends were playing with a log on the other side of the river. And right here, something that looks like a snake appears to be disturbed and moves into the water. Then here, just before the first girl screams, something pops its head out of the water. Under careful examination, it looks like it is an authentic part of the original video and not added on later with Photoshop or anything like that. The snake like creature disappears back under the water and that is when the girls start to scream. Ok, so while the families of these girls and most of the local townfolks are convinced it was an anaconda that attacked the girls, I am not so sure. Anacondas kill their prey for food and they kill by first hooking their teeth into you and then coiling around you and squeezing you to death. Neither of these girl's bodies showed any signs of being bitten by a snake. Nor did it look like anything tried to eat them. The death of these two girls is tragic and I am sure their families still miss them greatly, but as for the claim that they were killed by an Anaconda -- That's just not realistic. What do you think really happened to these girls? Let me know what your opinion is in the comment section below! Maybe together we can figure out the truth.

Hey Guys Bill Here. Did you hear the one about the Mermaid that was caught on tape in the Philippines? I did, thanks to bills channel viewers like Nancy Gould, Judah Yahuda, Mark Pogoy and PinkNT AnimationsThe video, recorded at a resort in General Santos City, claims to show a mermaid swimming in the waters just off shore. But is this video real, or is it fake? Why don’t we look under the gills and see what we can find out. There wasn’t much about this video posted by my usual sources like snopes and hoax busters, but thanks to Philippine based GMA news and reporter Jessica Soho, I was able to get the facts. It was recorded on a phone by a woman named Jovelyn Balinas who was there on a family vacation. Jocelyn uploaded the video and claimed it showed a mermaid, but reporter Jessica Soho dug into the situation and found the answer. And that answer I have right here. But before I open it up, I want you to let the whole world know what you think. Just yell out your answer as loud as you can right now… Real or Fake. ready. Go.Did you do it? Ok. So lets open this up and see the verdict… . And here we go.The video claiming to show a mermaid, swimming in the waters off a resort beach in Gen Santos philippines is… a 100%, salt water, whale of a tale, FAKE.Thanks to Jessica’s great work, a second video of the scene was found. It was shot by the staff at the resort. It showed a side angle of the creature - And the staff confirmed it was not a mermaid, but rather a sea creature called a dugong. Dugongs are medium sized marine mammals, kinda like sea cows and manatees. They live in a wide range of Ocean. including the waters of the Philippines. They can be pretty big and live up to 70 years, but are not dangerous to humans at all.Dugongs have a long tradition of being mis-identified as Mermaids. In a news report from Australia, Mermaid Model Hannah Frazer explained why…Hannah: the top half of a dugong can resemble the top half of a curvaceous female….OK, so there you have it — another Mermaid sighting hits the dust. But hey, I still have an open mind. If you have any information on real mermaid sightings send it to bills [email protected] and I will see you next time!

FALLEN ANGEL Real or Fake?

Hey guys Biil here. A lot of you guys are asking me about this viral photo showing a supposed Fallen Angel. It shows this guy with angel wings that looks like he crash landed somewhere. For the most part the stories I am getting is saying it is London. And not surprisingly, all of you want to know if it is "real" or if it is "fake?"Ok, here’s the answer. It’s fake. Thanks to my good friends at Buzzflare , we learn that this picture was taken at art exhibit in China. It’s a sculpture created by Bejiing artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu. And on top of that it was created in 2008! According to the artists, the sculpture was meant to capture the tension and transition between the supernatural and the mundane. But after going viral in my inbox, I think what it really captures is the tension between what’s real and what isn’t on the internet. And the willingness of some people to believe almost anything. It even approaches the question at the core of most religions: Is there a god? I bet the artists never anticipated that. It's amazing and scary how easily miracles can be created. And hey don’t forget if you have a picture or video and you aren’t sure if it’s real or not, send it to me at [email protected] and I will take a look. See you next time.
